Feature: AI invoicing
AI invoicing for diesel and truck repair.
Diagram of the workflow MetaFleet shows publicly. Example text, not a customer record.
How it works
Four steps. No retyping.
- The tech writes how he talks. Shorthand, abbreviations, a photo of the VIN or a parts receipt.
- The AI drafts the lines. One repair line per problem, in plain English, his words kept.
- The office confirms. Parts are added by the shop. Suggested hours are checked.
- The customer approves and pays. Approval from a link, invoice with a pay link, sync to QuickBooks Online.
Why it matters
Every hour a technician spends typing is an hour not billed. Vague lines lead to customer questions and slow payment. Clean lines written at the job let the invoice go out before the truck leaves.
Questions
Does the AI set prices or add parts?
No. The AI writes repair lines and suggests labor hours. The shop adds parts and confirms everything before it reaches the customer.
Does the AI change the tech's words?
The tech's own words are kept alongside the clean version, so the office can always see what was written.
Can the customer approve line by line?
Yes. The customer can approve the estimate from a link, line by line when the shop requires it.
Does the AI also help with the work order?
Yes. Complaint cleanup and repair-line titles are covered by AI write-ups.
Does it work without a native app?
Yes. Techs use it in any phone browser today. Native apps are stated for Q4 2026.
