Feature: Work orders

Every job, one work order.

Short answer: In MetaFleet each job is one service order that moves through assigned, en route, diagnosis, estimate, repair, invoice and paid. Technician notes, photos, inspections, parts and clock time live on the same order, and the office can find any order by its invoice number.

How it works

Step by step.

  1. Order created. From a call, the portal or the office; unit numbers can be added automatically.
  2. Status moves. Assigned, en route, diagnosis, estimate, repair, invoice, paid.
  3. Everything attached. Notes, photos, inspections, parts and clock time on the job.
  4. Invoice from the order. The same order becomes the invoice; find it later by invoice number.

Questions

Who can change what?

Role-based permissions with control over who can grant what: a user can only grant permissions they hold.

Can repair and towing run on one board?

Yes. MetaFleet runs repair and towing jobs on one board.

What does a paused flag mean?

An open job with nobody clocked in shows a paused flag so it does not sit unnoticed.
