Switching

Switch without retyping your shop.

Short answer: Switching to MetaFleet takes three steps: a few walkthroughs on your real jobs until you know it fits, an import of your customers, vehicles, parts and rates that is checked with you, and your crew logging in on the phones they already carry with nothing to install.

How it works

Step by step.

  1. Walk through real jobs. Your own repair orders run through MetaFleet until you know whether it fits.
  2. Import and check. Customers, vehicles, parts and rates imported from your spreadsheets; parts catalog can come from QuickBooks Online.
  3. Crew logs in. On the phones they already carry. Nothing to install.

Before you switch: a checklist

  1. Export customers, vehicles and units from your current system.
  2. Export your parts list with costs, bins and minimums.
  3. Write down every labor rate, including night, weekend and holiday rates.
  4. List open invoices and decide where they get collected.
  5. Match customers and vendors to QuickBooks Online records.
  6. Pick a cutover day and run new jobs only in MetaFleet from then on.

Questions

Do I have to move my books?

No. Your accountant keeps working in QuickBooks Online; MetaFleet sends invoices, bills and purchase orders there and syncs payments both ways.

Can I see it on my data first?

Yes. The walkthroughs use your real jobs.
