Alternatives

Software alternatives

Short answer: Each alternatives page lists options with facts from their own public pages and the date read.

How to choose an alternative

  1. Name the reason you are leaving. Price per user, heavy-duty fit, mobile dispatch, accounting sync or labor guides. Each page below opens with the most common reasons for that product.
  2. Decide shop software or fleet software. If you bill outside customers, you need shop software. See fleet vs shop software.
  3. Total the real monthly cost. Plan price plus extra users and add-ons at the size you expect in a year. Published prices are compared here.
  4. Test on one real repair order. Run the same job through each finalist: write-up, estimate, approval, invoice and sync.
  5. Plan the move. Customers, units, open invoices and parts. See how switching works.

Questions

Why are some vendors missing?

Only vendors whose own public pages could be read and dated are included. Where a vendor shows no price, the page says so.

How should I compare quotes?

Ask every vendor for the same written items: monthly price for your user count, add-ons, setup or migration fees and contract length.

Can I trial before switching?

WrenchPod lists a 30-day no-card trial, Fleetio a 14-day no-card trial and ShopView a free trial, as read on their pricing pages. MetaFleet runs a walkthrough on your own repair order.
